Booster Meeting Tuesday August 11
We hope you'll join us for the first booster club meeting of the season on Tuesday, August 11 at 7 p.m. in the community room at Lunds & Byerlys in Golden Valley (5719 Duluth St.). We've had the recent good fortune of receiving some generous community donations and will discuss how we can use the money to support the team. It will also be an opportunity to learn more about upcoming team events.
Agenda | July Treasurer's Report | June Treasurer's Report | May Treasurer's Report
Vice President needed!
We've been so grateful for Becca Anderson's service and leadership on the executive committee these past two years. Unfortunately, circumstances have necessitated that she step down from the VP role this season. She wanted to share the following message:
After two seasons of board involvement, I have decided to step down as VP. My daughter is taking the year off after dealing with recurring injuries and I would like to focus on supporting her this year. We hope to be back next year. Serving on this board has been a rewarding experience. If you are looking for a meaningful way to support the program, I encourage you to consider volunteering for this position.
The general duties of VP include assisting with event planning and tasks, reviewing the Treasurer's financial spreadsheet as needed, and filling in for the President if absent. With only 6 meetings per year (the majority during the XC season), the commitment is pretty light. If you have some time and energy to share and would be interested in volunteering for this role this season, or if you have any questions, please reach out to any executive committee member or respond to this email.
Don't forget to register for XC
To echo Coach Smith's recommendation, make sure you register before the first day of practice on August 17! There is a new registration system, which takes a little extra time to set up your account. You can access registration at this link.
Twin Cities Marathon - Volunteer Event Registration
The Armstrong Girl's and Boy's XC Teams has volunteered to staff the Mile 11 water stop at the Twin Cities Marathon for well over a decade and we will continue the tradition again this year on Sunday October 4th! The event is easy, fun and inspirational for our runners. Plus, Twin Cities in Motion (TCM) will donate $15 for each volunteer to our respective boosters!
Registration is now open. Family and Friends are encouraged to register early. Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend Volunteer Registration Website
